What We Do

Heat that comes up through the floor, not out of a vent

Most homes in this valley are heated by blowing warm air around. It works, and it is what nearly every contractor installs, because it is what nearly every contractor knows.

Radiant heating does something different. Warm water runs through piping under your floor and the floor itself becomes the heater. There is no fan, no draft and no noise, the warmth is even from one end of a room to the other, and nothing is blown into the air you breathe.

It is a specialist job. The design has to be right before anything is buried, because the one thing you cannot do afterwards is move a pipe. That design work is what this business is built around – the name says plumbing and radiant heating, and the radiant half is not an afterthought.

Radiant or forced air?

An honest comparison, including the parts that do not suit us. Both have their place and we would rather you chose the right one than the one we installed.

How It Works

From first call to warm floor

Radiant is not a product you pick off a shelf. It is designed around your house, so the sequence matters.

1

Tell us about the house

Call or book online. Age of the house, floor construction, what heats it now, and what is not working.

2

Site visit and heat loss

We measure the rooms and work out what each one actually needs. A system sized by guesswork is the single most common reason radiant disappoints.

3

Design and written estimate

Loop layout, manifold locations, heat source and zoning, with each part of the job priced separately so you can see where the money goes.

4

Installation

Piping, manifolds, heat source and controls. Tidy site, and we tell you which days will be disruptive before they are.

5

Commissioning and handover

Pressure test, purge, balance the loops and set the curves. Then we show you how to run it, because a well-designed system set up badly still feels wrong.

Why Medina

Why hire a specialist for this

Radiant is the main job here

Not a line on a services page. The business is named for it and the design work is done in-house.

Licensed, and the number is published

CA LIC# 957496 appears on our logo, on this site and on our paperwork. Check it at cslb.ca.gov before you hire anyone, including us.

Designed before it is buried

Room-by-room heat loss, loop lengths and zoning worked out on paper first. Piping in a slab is permanent.

Plumbing and heating under one roof

Radiant work runs into the plumbing – the heat source, the water heater, the manifolds. One contractor handles all of it.

Commissioned properly

Purged, balanced and the curves set, then explained to you. A good system set up badly still feels wrong.

Straight answers

If radiant is wrong for your house or your budget, we will say so at the estimate rather than after the deposit.

Service Area

Solano County & the Bay Area

We are based in Solano County but our service extends to the Bay Area. Radiant and hydronic work is specialized enough that we will travel for it; general plumbing we keep closer to home.
